Water Filter Repair & Maintenance in Columbia

Service for softeners, filters and RO systems across Columbia and Howard County, near Route 32 and Snowden River Parkway.

Bring Your System Back to Life

A water system that stopped working is just expensive furniture in the basement, and Columbia Water Filtration is glad to bring it back. We service and repair softeners, whole-house filters, reverse osmosis units, UV systems and conditioners from nearly every major brand, including systems sold by companies that are no longer around. Columbia homeowners usually call when the water feels hard again, a softener stops regenerating, an RO faucet slows to a trickle, a UV alarm starts beeping or a housing begins to leak. We diagnose the problem on the first visit and carry common parts so many repairs are finished on the spot. If a system is past saving, we will tell you honestly and give you a written price for a replacement.

What Our Service Visits Cover

Here are the repair and maintenance tasks we handle most.

  • System diagnosis

We test the water and inspect the system to find out why it stopped performing.

  • Cartridge and filter changes

Sediment, carbon and specialty cartridges replaced with the right size and rating.

  • RO membrane and filter service

Pre-filters, membranes and post-filters replaced, and the tank pressure checked.

  • Softener valve repair

Control valves, seals, pistons and motors repaired or replaced.

  • Resin replacement

Worn or fouled softener resin replaced to restore capacity.

  • Brine tank cleaning

Salt bridges and mush cleared and the brine tank sanitized.

  • UV lamp and sleeve service

Lamps replaced and quartz sleeves cleaned so disinfection stays effective.

  • Leak repair

Cracked housings, failed O-rings and loose fittings fixed.

  • System sanitizing

Filters, tanks and lines sanitized to clear biofilm and odors.

  • Maintenance plans

Scheduled visits so cartridges, salt and lamps are handled without you tracking them.

How a Service Call Works

  1. Tell us the symptoms

Call and describe what changed, plus the brand and age of the system if you know them. We book a visit, usually within a few days. If you can, send a photo of the label ahead of time. That lets us bring the most likely parts.

  2. Diagnose on site

The technician tests the water and inspects the system. We explain what failed and why. You get a written price for the repair before any work begins. Diagnosis usually takes thirty to forty-five minutes.

  3. Fix it the same visit

Common parts ride on our truck, so many repairs are done on the spot. If a part has to be ordered, we schedule the return as soon as it arrives. We test the water again when we finish. Then we set up a reminder for the next service.

Why Choose Us for Repairs

  • We service what others sold

Many of our repair calls are for systems from companies that left. We do not mind, and we will treat your system like one of ours.

  • Most fixes on the first visit

We stock common parts for the brands we see most often. Many repairs are finished the same day we diagnose them.

  • Straight answers on replace versus repair

If a repair does not make sense, we say so and give you a written price for a replacement. You decide.
